Trevor France Recruitment is seeking a Front End UI/UX Developer on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern, scalable, and user-focused front-end applications within a web-based digital platform environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping user experience across complex workflows, translating business and UX requirements into responsive and accessible interfaces. This position involves close collaboration with backend, product, and QA teams, and requires strong technical expertise in Angular-based front-end development, UI/UX principles, and API integration within a .NET-based architecture.

Job Duties

• Lead the design and development of responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end applications

• Translate UX designs, wireframes, user stories, and business requirements into functional UI solutions

• Define and maintain front-end architecture, coding standards, and development best practices

• Build and maintain reusable UI components and shared front-end libraries

• Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems

• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services

• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure efficient data flow and system integration

• Work closely with product and design teams to refine user journeys and application workflows

• Ensure consistent application performance, usability, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, and delivery

• Support testing, release readiness, and defect resolution activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of front-end development practices and tooling

• Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining code quality and delivery standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

• 4+ years of experience in front-end web application development

• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably Angular (React also considered)

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG)

• Experience building scalable front-end architectures and reusable component libraries

• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data flows

• Experience working with backend systems, preferably .NET-based environments

• Knowledge of state management approaches such as NgRx or RxJS patterns

• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows

• Experience collaborating with stakeholders on UI design and prototyping

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment

• Experience in financial services, including lending, banking, or capital markets is considered an asset

• Experience working in regulated environments with exposure to compliance, risk, or audit considerations is considered an asset
