Our client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer - Metal Additive Manufacturing to join their team in the innovative and fast-evolving sector of metal additive manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in die casting and injection molding processes, coupled with expertise in how advanced metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) techniques can enhance manufacturing efficiency. This role focuses on driving business growth while delivering customized technical solutions to clients in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
+ Sales & Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities with manufacturers, OEMs, and suppliers in the die casting and injection molding sectors.
+ Technical Consultation: Provide clients with in-depth guidance on the applications and benefits of metal additive manufacturing technologies, including ROI potential.
+ Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand technical needs and design tailored solutions.
+ Collaborative Development: Partner with engineering, production, and R&D teams to ensure customer requirements are met with feasible, innovative solutions.
+ Proposal Creation: Prepare comprehensive proposals, quotations, and technical designs.
+ Customer Support: Deliver excellent post-sales support, including troubleshooting, technical assistance, and ongoing consultation.
+ Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities in metal additive manufacturing as they relate to die casting and injection molding.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field).
+ A minimum of 4 years of experience in technical sales or tooling design, preferably within metal manufacturing, die casting, or injection molding.
+ Knowledge of metal additive manufacturing technologies, including Direct Energy Deposition (DED), Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), or Binder Jetting.
+ Familiarity with CAD software such as Siemens NX, Catia V5, or SolidWorks.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and effectively.
+ Proven problem-solving abilities to address client challenges with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
+ Industry connections or an established network within the die casting and injection molding sectors are an asset.
+ Willingness to travel outside of Canada (up to 50%) for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
