Trevor Frances Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join a dynamic and growing organization in the construction tools and equipment industry. This role offers the opportunity to drive sales growth, develop key relationships, and expand market presence across Canada.
This is a hybrid position, with the expectation to commute to the Newmarket office as needed (approximately 1-2 days per week).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain relationships with existing distributor customers and identify new distributor opportunities.
+ Build and nurture long-term partnerships with key end-users.
+ Support distributors with sales planning and execution, providing marketing assistance and strategic implementation.
+ Collaborate with distributors to ensure products are represented effectively in catalogs, flyers, websites, and digital campaigns.
+ Maintain accurate customer records and follow up in a timely manner.
+ Plan and execute travel schedules to meet with clients and prospects across Canada.
+ Identify and participate in trade shows and industry events to enhance visibility and generate leads.
+ Submit detailed weekly expense reports.
+ Engage with clients using multiple communication channels, including online platforms, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
Qualifications:
+ Post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or outside sales, ideally within a distributor-focused environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and a results-driven work ethic.
+ Proficiency in virtual communication tools, with an emphasis on building face-to-face relationships.
+ Ability to adapt to diverse communication methods and environments.
+ Experience in the construction tools and equipment industry is an asset.
